ABOUT US
mexican tradition
There is a time-honored tradition that originated within the walls of the Santa Clara convent in Puebla, Mexico. In the spirit of hospitality, Sister Eduviges, a resourceful and curious nun, embarked on a culinary adventure. Using local ingredients like eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and rum, she created a uniquely delightful beverage – a smooth and flavorful concoction that would become known and cherished as Rompope Santa Clara®.
For generations, we’ve honored that traditional recipe, to offer the same captivating flavor and creamy texture that has charmed palates for centuries. Rompope Santa Clara® is more than just a liqueur; it’s a testament to a resourceful nun’s ingenuity, and a symbol of the warmth of Mexican hospitality.
